Rules & Regulations

 

  1. Each student is required to wear either black and/or white clothing only. If a student wishes to purchase a chemical cape from a supplier, it must be black only.
  2. No jean clothing. No bare midriff is allowed. No unacceptable clothing. This will be determined at the sole discretion of TEACH staff.
  3. Each student is required to be on time. Class starts at 9:00 a.m. Students need to be in school and prepared to begin by 9:00 a.m. If a student is late on three different days, then the student will be sent home for that day, and that day will count as an unexcused absence.
  4. It is the student’s responsibility to punch in and out with the time clock each day. If the student does not punch in and/or out, the student will not receive credit for that time.
  5. Each student is required to bring with them each day the kit that is given to them on the first day of school, which also is included in the tuition payment. (Click here for a complete list of what is included in the kit.) Failure to bring the kit or other items necessary for training will result in being sent home for the day, and the day will count as an unexcused absence. Each student will also be responsible for:

    a. Composition Notebook
    b. Pencils/Pens
    c. Mannequin Heads
    d. Full Kit

    Each student is issued an allotment of mannequin heads. Additional heads, if needed, may be purchased from TEACH or any other supplier. In addition, students must promptly replace any lost, broken or missing equipment or they will be sent home for the day, and the day will count as an unexcused absence. TEACH is in no way responsible or liable for any of a student's personal kit, equipment or personal property.
  6. There is NO SMOKING ANYWHERE in the building. If anyone is caught smoking, they will be told to go home for the remainder of the school day, resulting in an unexcused absence for the remainder of the day. There is a designated area on the outside of the building for smokers.
  7. No foul language or disrespectful language directed towards a teacher, fellow student or customer will be tolerated. If foul or disrespectful language is heard, the student will be given a verbal warning. After the second verbal warning, the student will be asked to leave for the remainder of the school day and will not receive credit hours for that day.
  8. If a student is going to be absent, a phone call must be made to the school by 9:00 a.m. in the morning. If a student is absent for three or more consecutive days due to an illness, a doctor’s note is required and must be handed in on the day of return. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence until the doctor’s note is presented.
  9. Cellular phones and pagers are not permitted to be used during class hours or while practical is in session. Students may use cell phones off premises during their break.
  10. Only local phone calls can be made from the school or salon phone, and students must get a teacher’s permission first. No personal calls are allowed during the school day.
  11. No student will be allowed to be behind the front desk for any reason. Students are not allowed to use the cash register and/or answer the school phone. There will be absolutely no exceptions to this rule.
  12. A teacher will administer all chemical solutions for application by students. Students are not allowed in the dispensary unattended.
  13. Assaults or threats of any kind made to any teacher, student, customer or staff member of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in automatic expulsion.
  14. Stealing from the school, a teacher, student, customer or any staff member will not be tolerated and will result in automatic expulsion.
  15. Contractd hours, FULL TIME or PART TIME can only be changed by Teach owners upon receipt and review of a written application by the student.  New contract is then bound by the same rules and obligations of original contract. A fee of $300.00 will apply and the student must not be behind in their hours.
